The Thunderbird Friendship Centre in Geraldton was established in 1967, incorporated on November 29, 1971, and became a member of the Ontario Federation of Indigenous Friendship Centres (OFIFC) on October 19, 1990.

The Longlac office opened in June 2018 as an extention of services for the Thunderbird Friendship Centre. Since then, many great partnerships have formed. We offer wrap around services and we are client-centered.
